Where the numbers come from
Facilities come from Overture Maps open places data merged with self-storage parcels. Street rates are read from each facility's own website. Building area, year built and ownership come from county assessor rolls. Population is the 2020 Census; income is the Census American Community Survey for the county. The pipeline comes from county permit and land-use filings, where we cover the county.
Where coverage is thin — a county without pipeline tracking, facilities without a known size, no posted rates — the report says so instead of showing a zero.
